Sierra Sinclair also known as Nico, 17, originally born in Brooklyn, New York now resides here in Charlotte, NC where she is home-schooled and does ballet/contemporary dance. The shoot was fun and touching for me because everyone knows i love dance, the empowerment i get from them and the amazing stories behind each recite. After the shoot i asked Nico why does dance and who inspires her to dance? she says it makes her feel free and it’s her get away, her inspiration comes from her 6th grade dance teacher and her parents. Nico favorite dancer is Martha Graham and she one day she wants to dance with @queeengeedorah who stays in Charlotte as well. After Nico graduates she wants to attend University of North Carolina School of Arts in Winston Salem , she’s auditioning in April and the best luck goes out to her!!

I’ve been friends with Rice for a while now and was taking pictures for him and Gameel at shows, i have seen him grow into a self-motivated individual that inspires so many young souls that want to take something that they really enjoy doing and pursue it in their everyday life. I wanna bring it back to 2010, when Kanye West directed his own 35 minute short film with the written help of Hype Williams, Runaway off his 5th album titled My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. I brought this up today because its in relation to my topic. A half human, half phoenix had unexpectedly came into Griffen’s (Ye) life at the moment and it was hard for Ye’s world to accept it. She says anything that is different in your world you try to change and she goes on about the phoenixes that burn and turn into statutes.
She made a gracious point because if we dont “burn” and push through the hard times to reach the heights we want to achieve then we might as well be nothing more than motionless statutes. Instead of really pushing ourselves we’re sitting there worrying about the “next” and then change whole entire concept you had planed initially. Stand for something or die of nothing; all we need is balance and the rest shall follow.
